Healthy Dog Treats Are A Very Nice Prize

The same with people, dogs love to eat delicious snacks. But it is always good to prefer the healthy treats. Healthy dog treats are nice prize if you are training or teaching your dog. Not only is it brilliant to create a pleasurable experience for your dog, some kinds of treats can help your dog stay healthy.

But there are things that you should consider in choosing a healthy dog treats. And they are the following:

1. Be certain on calories. The lower the calorie, the better. One of the fastest growing heath illnesses of dogs in the United States is obesity. This illness may contribute to a broader range of health problem such as arthritis, diabetes and heart failure. Now, If you think your dog is overweight, talk to your vet about what you can do to implement a healthy feeding and exercise routine.

2. Avoid Table Scarps – feeding your dog from a table can encourage your dog to plead. No matter how tempting it is, never ever share scraps with your dog for the sake of your dog’s health.

1. Garlic and Cheese Bites

• 1 cup wheat flour
• 1 cup grated Cheddar cheese
• 1 tablespoon garlic powder
• 1 tablespoon soft butter or margarine
• 1/2 cup milk

Stir together the cheese and flour, then add butter and garlic powder. Add milk slowly until dough is fairly stiff. Knead together and roll to one-quarter inch flatness. After cutting into desired shape on an non-greased cookie pan, bake at 350 degrees for a quarter of an hour. When cool, refrigerate for freshness.

2. Crunchy Dog Biscuits

Dissolve 5 tablespoonfuls of any flavor bouillon in three cups boiling water

- Add two cups of oatmeal
- Add one-half cup oil
- Add one cup of oat bran or wheat
- Add one-half cup of honey
- Toss in two eggs and seven cups of flour

- Boil the water and throw in the honey, oat bran, oil, oatmeal, and eggs.
- Add flour slowly until dough stiffens.
- Roll and cut and bake on a cookie pan for 1 hour at 325 degrees.
- Let biscuits stay in cold oven until morning.
- Cut them up and spoil the beasts.

3. Dog-Healthy Milk Bone Biscuits

• beat the heck out of one egg
• one-half cup of powdered milk
• three cups of flour, whole wheat
• one-third cup of margarine
• three-quarter cup of water
• throw in one teaspoon of salt

Grab a big bowl, add hot water to the margarine. Mix in the egg, salt, and powdered milk. Then toss in the flour, using small amounts, until all is mixed in. Work the mixture into a dough that is fairly stiff - should only take a few minutes.

Roll out the dough to a thickness of about half an inch. Trim into the shape of bones. Pop in the oven at 325 degrees for 50 to 60 minutes.

The biscuits when cooled off will be very hard. Your dog will love them.
